. . .
"I know you are hurt... I know you have a vicious past... but I need you to do one thing.''
"What?"
"Let me love you..."
"..."
He loved her more than the world itself in only 4 months. He made sure she was safe, stable, stress free, comfortable, and most importantly, happy. He showed her off, made her feel special, bragged about her to the point where his grandmother wanted to meet her. His parents always asked about her, "how is she? are you treating her good?" all through text, video and phone calls but through it all "good" wasn't the right word, "perfect" was... He didn't pay attention to the enemy, because he was too deep in love to ever think about things not working out- he was too deep in love that he never lost hope, and never stopped dreaming. With the enemy by their side he still loved her harder and harder as each and every day passed by... meanwhile, she worried more and more that distance would break everything apart.
The saddest part of all is that she did not know what perfect was, until she got to know him. Until he showed her what she deserved, until he showed her actions when they hadn't even met yet; now she knew that was real, too real, and too good to be true. Because of this he never got tired of offering her the life she's always dreamed of. He always spoke about their plans and she agreed hoping he would change the subject... submissive to the unknown, seems more apparent. Only because he claimed he knew her from the back of his hand, and although that may have been partly true, it felt as if he did not know her at all.
He did not know the real reason why she couldn't find love, and that was the simple fact that she is exclusively affectionate and craves it in return... once again the price was the enemy's instead. She felt as though she loved him, but then she hesitated because he wasn't around to manifest her daydreams and see herself physically and emotionally loving him, rather than experiencing the momentum in her fantasies.
He lived so far...
That nothing was stronger than the negative thoughts she was creating in her mind, giving the positive ones no space at all. And because of this... she took a thousand steps backwards, and gave up on the one opportunity that probably won't come for another few years, depending how nice karma decides to treat her.
Until then she has regretted losing the one person that even though she fucked over, he still accepted her back in his life later on. Needless to say, once again, she blew up her second chance as he asked her, "do you want to talk again, take it slow this time and just go with the flow?"
As much as she loved him after everything they've gone through... she trusted her enemy more than she trusted the love he had for her, and his willingness to give everything up just to be with her, just like he did twice every time she came back.
But why did she keep going back to him? what was she seeking?
Was it the idea of love, the perfect relationship that she's always wanted or was she really in love with him?
